Dear Delegates and International Press members,

We, the Secretary-Generals of SMISMUN 2025, are thrilled to be able to bring to you the sixth edition of our conference - an edition that we hope will continue the brilliant legacy carried by the ones before us. For years, we have watched this conference grow - from a simple set of Zoom meetings to welcoming hundreds of delegates since our first in-person installment in 2022. In this time, we have seen many delegates and press members go on to win awards, Executive Board members of the highest quality grace our conference, and most importantly - curate a love for Model UN conferences for everyone.

It almost feels like yesterday that we stepped into our first MUN, and here we are, honoured to be leading one of Hyderabad’s most fabled conferences today. Being in the Hyderabad MUN circuit for a few years now, both of us have worked together to build this conference with the experience and guidance we’ve accumulated since. But such an event cannot be set up without the assistance of our fellow Secretariat members, our school faculty, our Principal Ms. Hemalatha Sanjay, and most importantly - you, the individuals that make this conference as special as it is.

This year, the range for our committees has increased yet again - bringing back the TFI committee we had introduced to the circuit last year, as well as bringing UNODC back to the forefront of our conference, while continuing the well-established DISEC and UNHRC committees. But it’s not just the committees that make SMISMUN the conference to be at - it’s our vibrant social night as well! 

Whether this is your first or thirty-sixth conference, we hope to have something that you’ll carry forward for a long time. We look forward to seeing you on July 19th, 20th and 21st!
